ESSAY ON POPULATION

GROWTH IN ENGLISH AND HINDI

An essay is, generally, a piece of writing that gives the author's own arguments, but the definition is vague, overlapping with those of a letter, a paper, an article and a short story. Essays have been sub-classified as formal and informal: formal essays are characterized by "serious purpose, dignity, logical organization, length," whereas the informal essay is characterized by "the personal element (self-revelation, individual tastes and experiences, confidential manner), humor, graceful style, rambling structure, unconventionality or novelty of theme," etc.

There are many different types of essay, but they are often classified in 4 types given as - argumentative, expository, narrative, and descriptive essays.
Generally, there are 5 important parts of an essay - the introduction, writer's arguments, counter arguments, refutation, and conclusion.
As, almost all of you would know that essays are asked to be written in schools, competitions and different examinations like - UPSC, STATE PCS's, SSC and many more.

In today's post of my website SSC PORTAL OFFICIAL, I have shared an essay on POPULATION GROWTH IN INDIA  AND HOW TO CONTROL IT. This essay has been provided in English and Hindi.
This essay has been written in about 200-300 words. It has mainly been written for descriptive exams of SSC, like - SSC CGL, SSC CHSL Tier - 2, SSC MTS Tier - 2.

ESSAY ON POPULATION GROWTH IN ENGLISH

The population for any country should not be more than that, as much as the resource-rich country has. That is, population is a boon for any country, but when the same population crosses the maximum limit line then it becomes a curse.

At present, in terms of population, India ranks second in the world after China. The population explosion in India can be estimated from the fact that the population of India, which was only 36 crores at the time of independence, has now increased to more than 121 crores according to the 2011 census.

About 17.5% of the world's population lives in India, while the area of our country India is only 2.4% of the total land area of the world. This figure is very worrying for us

The main reasons for population growth in India are: imbalance in birth and death rates, early marriage, illiteracy, religious outlook, poverty, lack of means of entertainment, joint family and misinformation or lack of information about the effects of tubectomy and loop.

The production of more children by the poor shows that there is an intrinsic relationship between poverty and population. Poverty is not only the cause of population growth but also the effect. Religiously fanatic and orthodox people are against adopting family planning measures.

Population growth has a direct impact on the standard of living of the people. Therefore, in a developing country like India, it becomes very important to control the growing population.

To get control over the population, along with making awareness about family planning and population discouragement, population policy should also be brought. Establishment of 'Population Council' at the Central and State levels can also be a suitable solution to this problem.
